Who we are

The company (est. 2024) is the brainchild of two proud Costarican expats living in Switzerland who want to show the world the natural wonders that are kept away deep within the tropical jungles and coasts of Costa Rica, while maintaining our values of professionality, local expertise and partnerships.
We have steadily been expanding our services and will soon have multiple destinations to choose from.

How we work

Partnerships

The travel market is heavily skewed toward sponsorships, distorting the results consumers see on search and booking sites. This system benefits large hotel enterprises with the capital to out-promote local, smaller companies. Pricing is also frequently distorted, as booking sites apply discounts that can squeeze the tight margins of independent businesses.
Nativus is here to change that. We prioritize partnerships with hotels we have personally vetted or known for their excellence—establishments that are predominantly locally owned and support their communities. By booking with us, you ensure your money stays within the local economy rather than filling the wallets of offshore corporations.

Pricing

We disclose the total price early in the booking process. This includes all mandatory taxes and the commission Nativus charges for its services. Nativus will never add fees after a price has been agreed upon. The price will only change if external factors, such as supplier cancellations, require an adjustment.
